## Synopsis

Pluribus (2025-present) is an American science fiction dark comedy drama created by Vince Gilligan for Apple TV. Rhea Seehorn plays Carol Sturka, a miserable, cynical author who finds herself immune to a strange shared condition that has swept the world into an unsettling collective contentment. Karolina Wydra plays Zosia and Carlos-Manuel Vesga plays Manousos Oviedo, two figures whose bond with Carol anchors the story as the world around them grows oddly serene. The engine of the series is Carol's stubborn refusal to be happy and the quiet, growing sense that she alone can see what the rest of humanity has lost. Each episode unfolds with a deliberately uneasy, understated pace, mixing sardonic humor with dread and loneliness. The show is set in present-day New Mexico, with the drab streets and sun-bleached landscapes of Albuquerque giving the premise a grounded, faintly melancholy texture. Its tone is wry, bleakly funny and unsettling, with a steady undercurrent of isolation. Viewers who enjoyed the dark comedy of Breaking Bad, the unnerving global mystery of The Leftovers, and the cold corporate unease of Severance will find much to savor here. The nine-episode first season is a serialized, single continuing story, and it leaves its central questions open and the series still on air.
