## Synopsis

Nightsleeper is a British miniseries created by Nick Leather for BBC One, a six-episode thriller in the vein of Bodyguard and 24. Set aboard the Heart of Britain sleeper train running from Glasgow to London, it follows Abby Aysgarth and Joe Roag, two people who have never met, one onboard and one far away at a government agency, as they struggle to coordinate an intervention while violence and danger spread through the carriages. Alongside them, Liz Draycott, Arran Moy and Fraser Warren shape the crisis from both ends of the line. The engine of the show is a race against the clock: each episode unfolds in a tight, near real time sequence where every decision narrows the options for a disparate group of passengers. Its tone is tense and propulsive, with melodramatic emotional beats running beneath the suspense. Told as one continuous story across six episodes, it has the feel of a contained event drama rather than an open-ended series. Fans of Bodyguard, 24 and The Night Manager will find its British thriller energy and pressure-cooker structure familiar and gripping.
