## Synopsis

Los Farad (2023) is a Spanish crime drama series created by Mariano Barroso and Alejandro Hernández for Prime Video. Miguel Herrán plays Oskar, a typical local boy whose ordinary life is upended when he crosses paths with the mysterious and wealthy Farad family. Susana Abaitua plays Sara Farad, and Pedro Casablanc plays Leo Farad, members of a household whose glamour hides a darker enterprise. Oskar is drawn into a winner-take-all game within international arms trafficking, a world of shifting alliances and ruthless bargains. The engine of the story is his struggle to keep his footing as each new favor deepens his entanglement. The single season runs eight episodes of roughly forty-nine minutes each, a brisk, self-contained run that is cut short before its arc fully closes. Set in Marbella, the series contrasts sunlit coastal luxury, sports cars, and yacht parties with the violence and cynicism that lurk beneath. Its tone is tense and glossy, emotionally charged, with the adrenaline of the criminal world pressing against the vulnerability of a young man out of his depth. Fans of Ozark, Narcos and Money Heist will find resonance in its blend of crime, family secrets, and the seductive pull of dangerous money.
