## Synopsis

I, Addict (2024) is a Spanish drama miniseries created by Javier Giner and Aitor Gabilondo and produced by Alea Media for Disney+. Across six episodes of roughly forty-four minutes each, it follows Javier Giner, played by Oriol Pla, a thirty-year-old audiovisual professional who voluntarily enters a rehabilitation center to face alcohol and cocaine dependence. His goal is simple and urgent: he wants to reverse the downward path he is on, while his own habits, the cravings of residential treatment, and the strain on his relationships stand in the way. Nora Navas plays Anais, and Ramon Barea and Itziar Lazkano appear as his parents, anchoring the family side of his story. Each episode moves through the daily textures of recovery, group sessions, quiet nights and private reflections drawn from his personal journal, so the drama reads like a diary turned into television. The tone is intimate, candid and often raw, with moments of wry humor and a hopeful undercurrent. It is a semi-autobiographical limited series that will appeal to viewers who admire the honest self-examination of Shameless and the introspective confession of Euphoria.
