## Synopsis

A Perfect Story (2023) is a Spanish romantic comedy miniseries created for Netflix, adapted from a novel. Anna Castillo plays Margot, a woman who flees her own wedding and finds herself adrift, while Álvaro Mel plays David, whose delightful chaos becomes the unexpected route back to herself. Lourdes Hernández and Ingrid García Jonsson play her sisters Patri and Cande, whose bickering and loyalty fill the family scenes around her. Across five episodes of roughly forty-four minutes each, the engine of the story is a woman trying to rebuild her sense of direction after an impulsive escape, with each episode mixing playful misadventures, awkward encounters and tender moments of self-discovery. The series is one continuing romance rather than a case-of-the-week format, and its single season is a compact, self-contained arc. Its tone is sentimental, amused and warmly romantic, with a breezy surface and a more wistful undercurrent about identity and belonging. Fans of Crazy Rich Asians, Tengo ganas de ti and Emily in Paris will find resonance in its mix of romance, humor and emotional candor. Set in contemporary Spain, the story unfolds in a present-day urban setting where family ties and new romance intersect.
