## Synopsis

North Shore (2023) is an Australian crime drama miniseries created by Mike Bullen. When the 19-year-old daughter of a British politician is found dead in Sydney Harbour, the investigation falls to a mismatched pair of detectives: British officer Abigail Crawford (Joanne Froggatt) and the Australian detective Meg Driscoll (Kirsty Sturgess), who must work across rival police cultures and personal friction. Max Drummond (John Bradley) moves through the case as a figure whose secrets complicate every lead. The engine of the six-episode run is steady procedural digging: interviews, alibis, and evidence that keeps pointing toward a conspiracy with political consequences, so each episode peels back another layer of influence and cover-up. The shape is a single, continuing murder investigation told as one self-contained limited series rather than a case-of-the-week format. Set in contemporary Sydney, the story balances sun-bleached harbour scenery with the shadowed corridors of power, producing a tense, grounded, morally murky tone. Fans of Broadchurch, The Killing and The Fall will find resonance in its patient, character-driven unravelling of a crime that exposes more than a killer.
