## Synopsis

Elsbeth (2024-present) is an American network crime comedy series created by Robert King and Michelle King for CBS, a spin-off from the Good Wife universe. Carrie Preston plays Elsbeth Tascioni, an astute but unconventional attorney who arrives in New York after a successful career in Chicago. Her singular point of view lets her notice what others miss, and she uses it to corner brilliant criminals while working alongside the NYPD, including Wendell Pierce as C.W. Wagner and Carra Patterson as Officer Kaya Blanke. Each episode is a self-contained case of the week, built around a fresh crime, a suspect pool of eccentric characters, and Elsbeth's sly, off-kilter reasoning. The tone stays playful and amused, with a comforting rhythm that rewards viewers who enjoy clever whodunits and quirky legal sleuthing. Fans of Monk, Columbo and The Good Wife will find resonance in its blend of humor, procedural structure and a lead who sees the world sideways. The show is a light, easy watch set in present-day New York City.
