## Synopsis

Hierarchy (2024) is a South Korean high school drama miniseries created by Choo Hye-mi and Bae Hyun-jin and produced by Studio Dragon for Netflix. Across seven hour-long episodes, the story follows Jung Jae-i (Roh Jeong-eui), Kang Ha (Lee Chae-min) and Kim Ri-an (Kim Jae-won) inside Jooshin High School, where a small circle of top-ranked students effectively governs the campus, handing out law and order by favor and fear. The engine is a secretive transfer student who arrives determined to chip a crack into that indomitable world, and each episode is built from scheming, alliances and reversals as the newcomer maneuvers among rivals and the principal's watchful gaze. Principal Park Hui-seon (Bae Hae-sun) and Yoon He-ra (Chi Hae-won) add institutional pressure and personal stakes. The series is a self-contained, single-season limited run with one continuing storyline in which order matters. Its tone is tense, cold and sharply observant, with simmering resentment, romance threads and a steady undercurrent of humiliation. Set in present-day South Korea, it sits in the tradition of Korean school dramas with class anxieties and social cruelty. Fans of The Glory, Sky Castle and Gossip Girl will find resonance in its elite school ecosystem, cutthroat social maneuvering and revenge-driven storytelling.
