## Synopsis

Scoop (2023) is a Hindi-language Indian crime drama miniseries created by Hansal Mehta and produced by Matchbox Shots for Netflix. Karishma Tanna plays Jagruti Pathak, a leading crime reporter whose world is upended by the shocking murder of a fellow journalist. Her investigation pushes her into a dangerous nexus of police officers, newsroom rivals and the Mumbai underworld, where every lead threatens to expose someone powerful. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub plays Imran Siddiqui, a fellow reporter whose alliances and loyalties shift as the story tightens, while Prosenjit Chatterjee's Jaideb Sen and Harman Baweja's JCP Harshvardhan Shroff embody the compromised authority that stands in her way. The six hour-long episodes form one continuous, tightly plotted case, a single limited series with a propulsive rhythm and a gritty, sweat-and-neon city texture. Its mood is tense, cynical and morally uneasy, with a steady undercurrent of dread about how far the truth can travel in a city where media, cops and gangsters trade favors. Fans of Sacred Games, Broadchurch and Mare of Easttown will find resonance in its layered investigation and its portrait of institutions bending under pressure.
