## Synopsis

High Potential (2024-present) is an American network crime procedural series created by Drew Goddard for ABC. Kaitlin Olson stars as Morgan Gillory, a single mother with an exceptional mind whose unconventional knack for solving crimes draws her into an unlikely partnership with Daniel Sunjata's Adam Karadec, a by-the-book seasoned detective. Set in present-day Los Angeles, the show follows a police department where Morgan's intuitive leaps clash with and complement rigid investigative routine. Each episode is built around a fresh murder investigation, with the steady pleasure of watching a gifted outsider crack a case while juggling childcare and personal pressures. Judy Reyes co-stars as Selena Soto, adding a grounded professional counterweight. The tone is light, warm and breezy, with a crisp crime-of-the-week rhythm and an accessible puzzle structure that rewards casual attention. Its approach is comfortable and familiar, and its strongest hook is the chemistry between two very different investigators. Fans of The Mentalist, The Closer and Monk will find resonance in its blend of eccentric brilliance, procedural structure and character-driven banter. The series continues across two seasons so far, keeping the case format fresh with an expanding ensemble.
