## Synopsis

Kerala Crime Files (2023-present) is an Indian Malayalam-language crime series created by Ashiq Aimar and Ahammed Khabeer and produced by First Print Studios for Disney+ Hotstar, now streaming on JioHotstar. Set in contemporary suburban Kerala, it follows a team of local police officers led by S.I. Noble (Arjun Radhakrishnan), SI Manoj Sreedharan (Aju Varghese) and CI Kuriyan Avaran (Lal) as they investigate the gruesome killing of a sex worker in a lodge called Grand Tourist Home. Their engine is simple and stubborn: the only lead they hold is a fake address, so every episode becomes a grind of tracing false names, questioning reluctant witnesses, and sifting through the unseemly corners of a small town that prefers to look away. The show moves at a measured, procedural pace across two seasons of six episodes each, with each season built around its own case while the investigators' methods carry through. The tone is grim, grounded and quietly unsettling, with a documentary-like texture and an undercurrent of social hypocrisy. Viewers who enjoy Broadchurch, Line of Duty and Sacred Games will find the same patient, character-driven unease in its portrait of an investigation that refuses to take the easy route.
