## Synopsis

The Guild (2007-2013) is an American web series comedy created by Felicia Day, originally distributed on YouTube. Felicia Day plays Codex, a introverted healer who joins a massively multiplayer online game guild, and the show follows her alongside Sandeep Parikh as Zaboo, Jeff Lewis as Vork, and Robin Thorsen as Clara. Its engine is simple and relatable: each member wants to level up, win battles and keep a fragile group together while their real jobs, families and romances keep intruding on the game. Episodes run only about seven minutes, so each season of roughly twelve installments moves through in-game raids and quests, back-channel squabbles and awkward offline meetups. The show spans six seasons, with a consistently self-deprecating, warm and quirky register that finds humor in social anxiety and gamer culture. Set in contemporary American suburbs and apartments, with the online fantasy realm as a parallel stage, it plays like a sharp, affectionate sitcom. Fans of Community, The IT Crowd and Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog will find the same blend of geek humor and sincere outsider warmth.
