## Synopsis

CatDog (1998-2005) is an American animated sitcom created by Peter Hannan for Nickelodeon. Its premise is simple and absurd: a scheming, uptight cat named Cat (voiced by Jim Cummings) and a dim, sensitive, good-natured dog named Dog (voiced by Tom Kenny) are physically joined, sharing one body with a head at each end. Cat constantly hatches elaborate plans to calm his brother and keep him out of trouble, but his schemes usually backfire on him, while Dog pursues baseball, fetch, and parties with cheerful enthusiasm until he hits his breaking point. Their neighborhood adds a supporting cast of eccentric characters, including Winslow (Carlos Alazraqui) and the mischievous Shriek (Maria Bamford), who drive the slapstick episodes. The series runs across three seasons and 132 episodes of short, self-contained stories built on gags, physical comedy, and quick escalation. Its tone is breezy and goofy, with an undercurrent of affection between the brothers beneath the constant bickering. Fans of The Ren & Stimpy Show, Rocko's Modern Life, and Courage the Cowardly Dog will find similar absurd, kid-friendly slapstick.
