## Synopsis

The Bondsman (2025) is a United States streaming supernatural horror-action series created by Grainger David for Prime Video. Kevin Bacon stars as Hub Halloran, a backwoods bail bondsman who comes back from the dead with a second chance at life and love, along with a nearly forgotten musical career. His old job has taken a demonic turn, so he must hunt escaped demons and send them back to hell. Jennifer Nettles plays Maryanne Dice, with Beth Grant as Kitty Halloran, Damon Herriman as Lucky Callahan, and Maxwell Jenkins as Cade Halloran rounding out the principal cast. The engine is Hub's rough, personally flawed attempts to make good while the job keeps bringing him face to face with the monsters he once chased for money. The series ran for a single season of eight half-hour episodes before being canceled, and it plays as a gritty, rowdy southern horror comedy. Its tone mixes gore, dark humor, and hard-drinking melancholy with a rustic, rural atmosphere. Viewers who enjoy the grime of Justified and the monster-hunting mythology of Supernatural, or the splatter comedy of Evil Dead, will find a familiar kinship here.
