## Synopsis

Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance (2024) is a Japanese animated mecha miniseries created for Netflix, produced by Sunrise and SAFEHOUSE within the long-running Gundam franchise. Set eleven months into the One Year War in U.C. 0079, the six-episode limited series follows Captain Solari, a top Zaku II pilot whose ambitions and grudges set him against the Earth Federation's newly deployed mobile suit, the Gundam. The voice cast includes Celia Massingham as Iria Solari, James Watts as Reid 'Chubs' Ghelfi, and Daniel Wishes as Kale Zavaleta. Each episode of roughly twenty-five minutes builds around tense aerial and ground engagements, pilot rivalries, and the grinding toll of a long interstellar war. The tone is grim and combat-focused, with a focus on personal vengeance and the human cost of machines built for slaughter. Fans of the original Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt, and Attack on Titan will find resonance in its serious war drama and mecha spectacle.
