## Synopsis

Night Has Come (2023) is a South Korean mystery horror series created by Im Dae-wung for U+ Mobile TV. Its students at Yoo-il High are pulled into a cursed mafia game in which every night brings a deadly vote, and the protagonist Im Eun-chan (Song Byeong-geun) must play along to survive while searching for the truth behind the curse. Lee Yoon-seo (Lee Jae-in) and Kim Jun-hee (Kim Woo-seok) are among the classmates whose loyalties fracture as suspicion spreads through the ensemble. The engine of each episode is the tension of the vote, the bluffing and alliances formed in the hours before it, and the slow accumulation of clues that point toward a larger conspiracy. Presented as a single twelve-episode season of thirty-five-minute episodes, it moves as one continuing story rather than a case of the week. Its tone is tense and claustrophobic, with paranoia and dread growing alongside flashes of grief and youthful desperation. Set in a contemporary Korean high school transformed into a closed arena of fear, it plays in the vein of Battle Royale, Squid Game and Alice in Borderland for viewers drawn to lethal games among young people. The mood is bleak and suspenseful, with the horror rooted in the everyday school setting.
