## Synopsis

Feedback (2023) is a Polish miniseries created for Netflix, a five-episode limited series of roughly fifty-two minutes each. Arkadiusz Jakubik plays Marcin Kania, a rock star whose alcoholism has shredded his short-term memory, and his son Piotr Kania is played by Jakub Sierenberg. Dominika Bednarczyk plays Joanna Kania, and Nel Kaczmarek plays Ula Kania, both drawn into the family fallout. The engine of the story is a desperate, stumbling hunt: Marcin must reconstruct the last hours of his missing son while his own fractured recall keeps tripping him up, and each episode pushes him through bars, half-remembered encounters and tense confrontations with people from his past. The show plays as a contemporary Polish drama in the register of a dark mystery, with a raw, melancholic and anxious atmosphere and a steady undercurrent of dread. Its themes center on addiction, paternal failure and the cost of a life lived in the spotlight. Fans of The Missing and Shameless will find resonance in its portrait of a troubled father, a fractured household and a search that exposes everything the family has been hiding. Mature viewers should expect strong language, heavy drinking and drug use.
