## Synopsis

Choona (2023) is an Indian Hindi-language crime comedy miniseries created by Pushpendra Nath Misra and released on Netflix. Across eight episodes of roughly 42 minutes each, an unlikely group of misfits, led by Avinash Shukla (Jimmy Shergill), discovers a shared enemy in a ruthless yet superstitious politician and sets out to plot an elaborate heist that will exact revenge. Arshad Warsi narrates as the voice of the author, guiding viewers through the scheme while supporting players such as Aashim Gulati as Yakub Ansari Sheikh and Namit Das as Triloki add to the ensemble. The engine of the story is the planning and execution of the con itself, with impersonations, hacks and improvised schemes forming the bulk of each episode. The show is a single-season limited run that mixes caper mechanics with satirical humor and a grittier, socially grounded backdrop of Indian local politics. Its tone is breezy and irreverent, though it sometimes undercuts serious material with comic flourishes. Fans of Money Heist, Snatch and Sacred Games will find a familiar appetite for crime, revenge and outsider cunning.
