## Synopsis

I Am a Running Mate (2025) is a South Korean school politics miniseries created by Han Jin-won for TVING. Yoon Hyun-soo plays Noh Se-hoon, a model student who signs on as a running mate in a high school student council election in order to rebuild his reputation. Alongside him, Lee Jung-sic plays Kwak Sang-hyun, Kim Ji-woo plays Ha Yoo-kyeong, and Choi Woo-sung plays Yang Won-dae, each pulling the race in a different direction. Across eight episodes of about forty minutes, the engine is simple and sharp: a polished boy who wants to be seen as untouchable must navigate campaign strategy, rival factions, and the shifting loyalties of classmates who trade favors as readily as votes. Each episode turns on a new maneuver, a new alliance, or a new public stumble, so the story moves steadily toward its central contest. The show is set in a contemporary Korean high school, and its tone is brisk, witty and tense, with a satirical eye on how miniature politics mirrors the adult world. Fans of Gossip Girl, Mean Girls and Sky Castle will find resonance in its ambitious teenagers, status anxieties, and power games played out in the halls of a school.
