## Synopsis

The Wild Ones (2025) is a British nature documentary docuseries created for Apple TV, presented across six episodes of roughly 39 minutes each. Hosts Declan Burley, Vianet Djenguet and Aldo Kane appear as themselves, a trio of field experts who travel to hidden corners of the planet in pursuit of six endangered species. Their engine is simple and urgent: each creature is elusive, the terrain is punishing, and the team must find, film and protect it before its population slips past recovery. Each episode is built around a separate expedition, with survival work and careful tracking alternating with the patient wait for a sighting. The format is a single running series rather than a case-of-the-week structure, giving the season a steady momentum toward its six animals. The production leans on crafty camerawork and close-quarters observation, delivering a wonder-filled, hopeful register alongside a sober sense of stakes. Settings span remote wild landscapes rather than any historical period, and the mood is awe-struck, earnest and quietly urgent. Viewers who enjoy Planet Earth II, Our Planet and Dynasties will find the same blend of spectacle and conservation feeling in this family-friendly wildlife expedition.
