## Synopsis

Nissene på låven (2001) is a Norwegian mockumentary comedy created by Kristian Ødegård and Espen Eckbo and aired on TVNorge. Structured as a Nordic Christmas calendar, it runs 24 short episodes of roughly twelve minutes each, delivering a daily dose of holiday fun in the run-up to the season. The cast is led by Eckbo and Ødegård, with Henrik Elvestad, Eivind Sander, Jannike Kruse and Trond Fausa Aurvåg filling out the ensemble as participants and personalities. The engine is parody: the show lampoons the machinery of reality television, its contrived competitions, staged confessionals and earnest personalities, with each brief installment built around a fresh comic set-up. Its shape is a single self-contained season rather than a continuing drama. The tone is light, playful and self-aware, with a cheeky deadpan edge and a warm holiday glow. Fans of The Office, Reality Bites and seasonal comedy specials will find a similar appeal in its affectionate mockery of the genre. Produced by Seefood TV, it stands as a small, distinctly Norwegian take on festive television.
