## Synopsis

Good Boy (2025) is a South Korean crime action comedy drama series created by Sim Na-yeon and Lee Dae-il for JTBC. Park Bo-gum plays Yun Dong-ju, an Olympic medalist who leaves the podium for a police badge through a special recruitment program that brings athletes into the force. Kim So-hyun plays Ji Han-na, and Oh Jung-se plays Min Joo-young, the colleagues who share his unit and its rough caseload. The engine is simple: athletes with extraordinary physical gifts must learn the messier craft of policing while confronting violent crimes and injustices that their medals never prepared them for. Each episode tackles a fresh case, pairing brisk action sequences with a team dynamic that deepens across the season. The single season runs sixteen episodes of roughly seventy minutes each, offering a complete arc rather than an open-ended run. Set in contemporary South Korea, the show moves between police offices, city streets, and the sporting world that shaped its heroes. The tone is buoyant and warm, with humor rooted in character and a sincere heart beneath its violence. Fans of Ted Lasso and Vincenzo will find resonance in its blend of big-hearted humor and kinetic crime action, while viewers of Chief Inspector Ko will recognize its earnest police camaraderie.
