## Synopsis

Ángela (2024) is a Spanish thriller drama series created by Norberto López Amado for Atresplayer. Verónica Sánchez plays Ángela, a woman whose carefully ordered middle-class life collapses once she recognizes the domestic mistreatment she has been living inside. Daniel Grao plays Gonzalo, the husband whose ominous past begins to surface, while Jaime Zatarain, Lucía Jiménez and Ane Gabarain fill out the supporting circle around the household. A detective begins unveiling Gonzalo's hidden mysteries, leaving Angela disoriented and unsure whom to trust. Craving freedom, she abandons her daily routine and sets out on a dangerous truth-chase, pushing against the quiet pressure of a home that has looked perfectly ordinary from the outside. The engine is simple and personal: a woman who must act while her own certainty crumbles, with each episode tightening the net of suspicion. The six-episode, single-season run is a compact limited series with a serialized arc. Its tone is tense, claustrophobic and emotionally raw, built on domestic interiors and rising dread rather than spectacle. Fans of The Girl on the Train, Gone Girl and Big Little Lies will find resonance in its portrait of a marriage hiding something dark behind a polished surface.
