## Synopsis

Low Life (2025) is a South Korean crime drama created by Kang Yun-sung for Disney+, adapted from a comic. The series follows a crew of rough, shameless operators, led by Oh Gwan-seok (Ryu Seung-ryong) and his associate Oh Hee-dong (Yang Se-jong), who gather with their own competing greed and logic to hunt for underwater artifacts off the coast of Shinan. Yang Jung-sook (Im Soo-jung) adds another principal thread to the scheme. The engine is simple and relentless: each character wants a share of the buried treasure, and every plan drags them deeper into dangerous, unreliable territory at sea and on land. The series runs for one season of eleven hour-long episodes, a limited crime story rather than a continuing saga. Its tone is gritty and darkly comic, with a sour cynicism about human appetite and a bleak edge to the criminal grasping. Fans of Money Heist, Vincenzo and Snowpiercer will find resonance in its ensemble of morally compromised schemers and its tense, cash-driven chase.
