## Synopsis

Wolf King (2025) is a British animated fantasy series for Netflix, running two seasons and sixteen half-hour episodes. Ceallach Spellman voices Drew, a young commoner whose ordinary life shatters when he learns he is the last of a long line of werewolves and heir to a throne he never expected. Nina Barker-Francis voices Whitley, whose companionship anchors his awkward transformation from nobody into a claimant to power. Each episode pushes Drew through a new mix of court intrigue, monstrous threats and clumsy self-discovery as he tries to master a bloodline he barely understands. The 3D animation gives its fantasy kingdom a bright, cartoonish gloss, and its tone swings between absurd slapstick, a teenager's embarrassment and darker, grimmer moments. Fans of Castlevania, The Dragon Prince and Avatar: The Last Airbender will find a similar blend of animated myth, coming of age stakes and royal destiny. Its mood is irreverent and earnest, with a playful edge that keeps the heavier fantasy grounded in adolescent awkwardness.
