## Synopsis

Minas de Pasión (2023-2024) is a Mexican telenovela created for Univision and Las Estrellas, produced by Televisa. Livia Brito Pestana plays Emilia Sanchez, a single mother who works in a mine and falls in love with Leonardo Santamaría, played by Osvaldo de León, the son of the most powerful family in town. Anette Michel plays Roberta Castro, the matriarch who vows to make Emilia's life miserable, and Alejandro Camacho plays El Tigre Sánchez, a figure tied to the mining world. The engine of the story is a romance pushed against a wall of wealth, pride and hostility, with each episode built from clashes between the lovers and the schemes of the powerful family. The series runs as a single season of 106 episodes, a continuing serialized story rather than a case-of-the-week format. Set in a Mexican mining town, its look and rhythm follow the traditions of the telenovela, with heightened emotion, sweeping romance and open-hearted melodrama. Its tone is operatic and emotionally charged, and it sits in the vein of Rosalinda, La Usurpadora and Pasión de Gavilanes for fans of class-divided romance and long-running revenge plots.
