## Synopsis

Amarte es mi pecado (2004-2005) is a Mexican telenovela created by Liliana Abud and produced by Ernesto Alonso for Televisa, broadcast on Las Estrellas. Yadhira Carrillo leads as Leonora Madrigal, a young woman whose life is shaped by betrayal, sacrifice and a forbidden romance with Arturo Sandoval de Anda, played by Sergio Sendel. Her journey turns on a crime she did not commit, which forces her to confront a painful past while she tries to rebuild her life and find happiness. Around her, Alessandra Rosaldo, Sylvia Pasquel and Erika Buenfil add rivalries, family pressures and schemes that push each chapter toward a new reversal. Across one season of 95 episodes, the story unfolds as a continuous serialized melodrama in the classic daily format of the genre. The mood is emotional and heightened, moving between heartbreak, longing and hope, with revenge, ambition and redemption running through every storyline. The setting is contemporary Mexico, with the drama played out in domestic spaces, offices and tense family gatherings. Fans of Rubi, La usurpadora and Betty la fea will find resonance in its wronged heroine, sweeping romantic conflict and sudden twists of fortune.
