## Synopsis

Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide (2004-2007) is an American Nickelodeon sitcom created by Scott Fellows. Devon Werkheiser plays Ned Bigby, an everyday seventh grader at James K. Polk Middle School who has no superpowers and no particular coolness, but who turns to the camera to share his tips on surviving junior high. Lindsey Shaw as Jennifer 'Moze' Mosely and Daniel Curtis Lee as Simon 'Cookie' Nelson-Cook are his closest friends, and together they handle bullies, crushes, pop quizzes, school elections and detentions. Daran Norris plays Gordy and Jim J. Bullock plays Mr. Monroe among the teachers who make school feel unpredictable. The engine of each episode is a concrete school problem that Ned explains directly to viewers, with his friends stepping in to help him get through it. Across three seasons and fifty-five episodes, the show is a light, playful comedy with a nostalgic warmth and a clear emphasis on loyalty. Its tone stays upbeat and self-aware, with a steady sense that the seventh grade is less bad than it seems. Fans of Malcolm in the Middle and Drake and Josh will find similar family comedy energy here.
