## Synopsis

Only for Love (2023) is a Chinese romance drama series created by Qiao Yao and aired on Hunan Television and Mango TV. Adapted from a web novel, its 36-episode run follows Zheng Shuyi (Bai Lu), an ambitious reporter determined to land a front-page story, and Shi Yan (Dylan Wang), a financial executive who wants to back socially responsible start-ups. Zheng's pursuit of an exclusive interview with him becomes the engine of the show: she researches industries in depth and writes reports, and when his views turn out to match hers, he lets her cover his company. Their professional collaboration opens new opportunities for both, and a romance grows out of the work. Supporting roles include Miles Wei as Yu You, Liu Dongqin as Guan Ji, and Jiang Peiyao as Bi Ruoshan. The tone is warm, sweet and hopeful, with a contemporary urban business backdrop of corporate offices, press rooms and start-up investment rounds. Viewers who enjoy workplace romances in the vein of Destined with You and the charm of Ugly Betty will find the same mix of ambition and tenderness here.
