## Synopsis

The Traitors Canada (2023-present) is a Canadian reality competition series created for CTV, adapted in the tradition of the global Traitors franchise. Hosted by Karine Vanasse, it follows a group of contestants, some of them familiar faces, who live together under one roof while completing a run of challenges for a shared cash prize. The engine is deception: a hidden handful of players are secretly assigned as traitors, and they must lie, manipulate and quietly eliminate the others without being unmasked. Each season unfolds as a serialized game in which players gather at a round table, cast votes to banish suspects, and weigh alliances against suspicion. The format is a psychological strategy contest with the atmosphere of a murder mystery, tense, sly and paranoid, with moments of camaraderie that curdle into betrayal. Its ten-episode seasons build steadily toward the question of who is hiding among the group. Fans of Survivor and Mafia will find resonance in its social maneuvering, hidden roles and voting-driven suspicion, and viewers who enjoy the original Traitors will recognize its core appeal. The show is a fully scripted-by-format reality game, with the contestants' choices and interpersonal strategy driving every episode.
