## Synopsis

Kitani Mohabbat Hai (2009-2011) is an Indian Hindi-language soap opera created by Ekta Kapoor for NDTV Imagine. Karan Kundra plays Arjun Punji, a wealthy, arrogant young man whose misogynistic habits shape his early life, and Kritika Kamra plays Arohi Sharma, an aspiring singer who becomes the emotional center of his story. Neena Gupta and Satyajit Sharma appear among the principal family members, and Veerendra Saxena plays Arohi's father Hari Prasad Sharma. The narrative is framed by Arjun in prison, where he recounts his past to his lawyer, so the series moves between his present confinement and the years of his courtship with Arohi. Its engine is the push and pull of a romance that begins with resentment and grows into passion, while family rivalries, class pressures and professional ambitions threaten each step. Across two seasons and more than three hundred episodes, the show is built from daily melodramatic set pieces: confrontations, misunderstandings, betrayals and reconciliations. The mood is emotional, heightened and intimate, with a bittersweet undercurrent of regret. Fans of Kkusum, Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Devdas will find the same blend of romantic longing and familial melodrama.
