## Synopsis

Suburræterna is an Italian crime drama series that premiered on Netflix in 2023, a spin-off of the Suburra universe. Set in present-day Rome, the eight-episode season follows Alberto 'Spadino' Anacleti (Giacomo Ferrara), a criminal whose uneasy ties to the city's underworld are tested as rival clans rise and older alliances begin to fail. Filippo Nigro plays Amedeo Cinaglia, while Alberto Cracco and Federigo Ceci appear as cardinals whose ambitions draw the Vatican into the struggle for influence. Carlotta Antonelli, Federica Sabatini, and Marlon Joubert round out a cast of shifting loyalties. Each episode moves through backroom negotiations, sudden betrayals, and violent confrontations as characters scramble to protect territory and secrets. The series holds a gritty, tense atmosphere, with a sense of a city losing its balance. Its visual language and morally compromised characters will appeal to viewers who enjoy Gomorrah and Romanzo Criminale, and fans of Narcos will recognize its crime-driven politics. Rated TV-MA, it is a dark, adult, single-season entry for viewers seeking an intense Italian crime story.
