## Synopsis

Teasing Master Takagi-san (2024) is a Japanese romantic comedy series created for TBS, adapted from a popular manga and set in an ordinary Japanese junior high school. Rui Tsukishima plays the clever Takagi-san, who delights in good-natured pranks on her classmate Nishikata, played by Soya Kurokawa. He keeps trying to get the better of her and never manages it, and that stubborn losing streak drives nearly every episode. Supporting characters including Mr. Tanabe (Yosuke Eguchi) and Mano (Morinaga Rea) fill out the classroom world with small everyday moments. The show runs as a single eight-episode season of short, self-contained comic scenes in the slice of life tradition, each built around a new prank and a fresh awkward beat. Its tone is sweet, breezy and warmly funny, with the gentle tension of a crush playing out in the background. Viewers who enjoy the teasing dynamics of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War or the easygoing school romance of Skip and Loafer will find a similar comfortable charm here.
