## Synopsis

Crashing Eid (2023) is a Saudi romantic comedy series produced for Netflix, a single-season limited run of four roughly 47-minute episodes. Summer Shesha plays Razan, a Saudi woman whose British Pakistani fiance crashes her family's Eid celebrations, and she scrambles to convince her relatives that he is a suitable match. Bateel Qamlo plays Lamar, Hamza Haq plays Sameer, Yassir Al-Saggaf plays Sofyan and Khalid Alharbi plays Hasan, each adding friction and affection to the gathering. The engine of the show is simple and sharply comic: every episode turns on a new family dinner, a new misunderstanding or a new attempt to hide the outsider's awkward presence from elders who have strong opinions. The story unfolds across a single festive occasion in contemporary Saudi Arabia, with the warmth and noise of a crowded extended household at its heart. Its tone is breezy and affectionate, with cozy holiday energy and sharp generational teasing. Viewers who enjoy My Big Fat Greek Wedding, The Big Sick and Ramy will find a similar blend of cultural comedy, family pressure and romance.
