## Synopsis

Criminal Code (2023-present) is a Brazilian crime action series created by Heitor Dhalia and Pedro Morelli for Netflix. Federal agents, led by Suellen (Maeve Jinkings) and Benício (Rômulo Braga), must get creative to crack the code of an investigation into a larger-than-life robbery. Alongside them, Sem Alma (Thomás Aquino), Isaac (Alex Nader) and Rossi (Pedro Caetano) work through a case built around heavy surveillance, tense pursuits and tactical improvisation. The engine of each episode is the pressure of tracking a criminal operation that keeps slipping out of reach, with every lead costing time and risking lives. The series runs across two seasons of eight episodes each, forming one continuing story rather than a case of the week. Its tone is propulsive and gritty, with wall to wall action sequences and shootouts that fans of Heat, Money Heist and Elite Squad will find familiar. Character work gives the chases weight, and the rhythm is brisk and urgent throughout. Viewers who enjoy a serialized crime thriller set in contemporary Brazil, with a strong sense of teamwork under pressure, will find this a satisfying binge.
