## Synopsis

Devil May Cry (2025-present) is an American adult animated action fantasy series created by Adi Shankar for Netflix, adapted from Capcom's video game franchise. Its protagonist is Dante, a devilishly handsome demon hunter for hire voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, who takes on contracts in a world where the line between good and evil is deliberately blurred. The engine of the show is a swaggering hero navigating a paramilitary organization and a constant stream of demonic threats, with each episode built around stylized combat and wisecracking confrontation. Kevin Conroy voices Baines, a demon soldier, adding a further layer of menace to the cast. The series runs across two seasons of eight episodes each, forming one continuing story rather than standalone case-of-the-week episodes. Its look blends anime influenced choreography with adult animation, and its tone mixes irreverent humor with brutal, bloody action. Fans of Castlevania, Arcane and Kill la Kill will find resonance in its mix of gothic spectacle, video game energy and cheeky heroism. The series remains on the air and continues to build its mythology around demons, hunters and factions.
