## Synopsis

Culte (2024-2025) is a French television drama series created by Matthieu Rumani, Nicolas Slomka and Yaël Langmann for Prime Video. Set in 2001, it follows producers Isabelle (Anaïde Rozam) and Raphaël (César Domboy) as they race to get Loft Story on air in less than four months. Their challenge is to invent the country's first reality television show from scratch, adapting the Big Brother format to a French audience that has never seen anything like it. Alongside them, Karim (Sami Outalbali) and the production crew wrestle with network executives, tight schedules, and the unpredictable behavior of the housemates they must cast and manage. The series runs for two seasons of six episodes each, with a steady, character-driven rhythm in which every deadline feels like a small crisis. Its tone is wry, anxious and nostalgic, blending the energy of a workplace drama with a sharp look at how television manufactures spectacle. The early two thousands setting, with its dial-up era media landscape and emerging celebrity culture, gives the story a retro sheen. Viewers who enjoy The Studio, Smash or behind the scenes media dramas will find a similar pleasure in watching a fragile creative project come together against the clock.
