## Synopsis

The Gentlemen (2024-present) is a British crime comedy series created by Guy Ritchie for Netflix. Theo James plays Eddie Horniman, a Duke of Halstead who inherits a crumbling English country estate and discovers that its grounds shelter a sprawling cannabis operation run by Susie Glass (Kaya Scodelario), a sharp-tongued businesswoman who is not going anywhere. Daniel Ings plays his scheming, insufferable brother Freddy, and Vinnie Jones adds menace as Geoff Seacombe, while Joely Richardson's Lady Sabrina keeps the family's social standing in view. Each episode runs close to fifty minutes and follows a shifting web of deals, betrayals, and bluffs as Eddie tries to protect his inheritance without losing his nerve or his name. The series is a two-season run with sixteen episodes in total, told as one continuing story rather than a case of the week. Its tone is brash, witty, and stylish, with snappy dialogue, violent flashpoints, and a roguish energy that recalls the London gangster capers of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch. Fans of Peaky Blinders and Snatch will find the same mix of class satire and criminal bravado here, set in the modern English countryside.
