## Synopsis

Gushing Over Magical Girls (2024-present) is a Japanese anime comedy series produced by Asahi Production and KADOKAWA and aired on AT-X. Its protagonist Hiragi Utena, voiced by Fuka Izumi, is an obsessive fangirl of the magical girls who guard her city and eagerly joins their ranks. Once she transforms, however, she discovers she is a villain who takes pleasure in tormenting magical girls. Voice actors Misato Fukuen as Venarita, Aoi Koga as Araga Kiwi, and Kana Asumi as Vatz round out the principal cast. Each episode of this short-form, roughly 24-minute series plays out as a self-contained comic misadventure built on transformation sequences, rivalries, and the sharp gap between Utena's adoration and her actions. The show is a raunchy, irreverent deconstruction of the henshin hero formula, with ecchi content and a mocking, gleeful tone. Fans of Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Konosuba and Magical Girl Site will find resonance in its subversive take on the genre. Its adult rating and mix of cheeky parody and genre affection make it a playful, transgressive watch for those who love magical girl anime.
