## Synopsis

On Call (2025) is a one season American police procedural drama created by Tim Walsh and Elliot Wolf for Prime Video, a canceled eight-episode series. Troian Bellisario plays veteran training officer Traci Harmon, who takes rookie Alex Diaz (Brandon Larracuente) on ride-alongs through the streets of Long Beach, California. Their working relationship is tested by the loss of a fellow officer, which leaves the department grieving and divided. The engine of the show is the patrol shift itself: calls that escalate without warning, the pressure to meet department expectations, and the personal toll each officer carries home. Episodes are built around individual calls that spill into larger questions about how modern policing operates, with supporting roles from Rich Ceraulo Ko as Officer Matthew Rolland and recurring street figures. The tone is gritty and tense, with a grounded, documentary-leaning sense of city life and a focus on character under strain. Fans of The Rookie, The Shield and Training Day will find resonance in its blend of procedural detail, partner dynamics and institutional frustration. Its single season was judged moderately well by audiences, and the story ends with its central threads open.
