## Synopsis

Peter the Great: Greater Than Ever (2024) is a Colombian comedy series created for Caracol TV, a sequel-style continuation of the Caracol comedy tradition with a telenovela sensibility. Miguel Varoni plays Pedro Coral Tavera, who returns to Colombia after twenty years abroad and promptly falls for the wrong woman. Carlos Torres plays his son Pedro Coral Jr, whose rising career is put at risk when Fernanda Ríos, played by Ana María Trujillo, turns out to be his boss and future mother-in-law. Pedro's engine is simple and comic: he must keep their blood ties hidden from everyone while trying to rebuild a strained relationship with his son and pursue his own romantic life. Each episode is built from awkward social situations, mistaken identities, and the escalating lies a father tells to protect his child's ambitions. The series runs as a single season of 23 episodes, each about forty-eight minutes long, and carries a warm, breezy, lightly farcical tone. Its humor leans on family embarrassment, romantic missteps, and the comfort of a familiar lovable rogue. Viewers who enjoy Yo soy Betty, la fea and other Latin American family comedies will find similar warmth and romantic chaos here.
