## Synopsis

Are You The One (2024) is a Chinese costume drama series created for Tencent Video, a single-season run of forty 46-minute episodes. Liu Miantang (Wang Churan), the clever and decisive first lord of Mount Yang, is badly wounded after fighting evil forces and is rescued by Cui Xingzhou (Zhang Wanyi), the Prince of Huai Yang. When she wakes, she has lost her memory of Mount Yang and mistakes him for her husband, Cui Jiu, setting up a household built on a pretense. The engine of the story is the daily strain of keeping that double identity intact: every meal, conversation and quiet evening carries the risk that the truth will surface. Supporting characters, including Chang Huasen as Zi Yu and Liu Lingzi as He Zhen, add the court and household threads that test the couple. Episodes move through domestic routines and gentle misunderstandings rather than constant action, with a slice of life rhythm. The tone is warm and wistful, with a growing sense of tenderness and unease. Viewers who enjoy hidden identity romances in the vein of The Disguiser and Story of Yanxi Palace will find resonance here, along with the emotional restraint of Eternal Love. The series is set in an ancient Chinese world of martial sects and noble households, and it is a complete, self-contained story.
