## Synopsis

Death Inc. (2024-2026) is a Spanish dark comedy series created by Julián Sastre, Nando Abad, Alberto Caballero, Araceli Álvarez de Sotomayor and Daniel Deorador for Netflix and Movistar Plus. When the founder of the Torregrosa Funeral Home dies, his scheming right-hand man Dámaso Carrillo (Carlos Areces) expects to take over the family business, but the owner's widow Nieves Torralba (Ascen López) has other plans. Abel Aguado (Gerald B. Fillmore) and Vanesa Hernández (Amaia Salamanca) round out the principal cast as employees and rivals who turn every funeral, coffin sale and grieving family into a battleground for power. The engine of the show is the ambition of people who profit from death, with each episode built around a fresh bereavement job and the petty maneuvering that follows it. Running four seasons of roughly thirty-minute episodes, the series keeps the stakes sharp and the tone biting rather than mournful. Its satire is dry and cutting, with a cynical and workplace-driven atmosphere. Fans of Six Feet Under and Succession will find a similar appetite for morbid humor and family business rivalry, set in contemporary Spain.
