## Synopsis

Querer is a Spanish limited miniseries created by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa, Eduard Sola and Júlia de Paz for Movistar Plus. Across four episodes, it follows Miren Torres, a woman who walks into a police station with her lawyer and denounces her husband for continuous rape during a marriage of more than thirty years. Her husband Iñigo insists he has done nothing wrong and presents himself as the wronged party, while their sons pull in opposite directions. The eldest backs his father out of fear of his own conduct, and the youngest stands with his mother after feeling a similar invisible violence. The engine of the story is the slow unravelling of a household that looked perfect to everyone around it, as each conversation, confrontation and legal step forces the family to name what it had long refused to see. Told with restraint and a close, naturalistic camera, the drama is quiet, painful and morally exacting. Its tone is sober and charged, with moments of tenderness and dread woven through courtroom-adjacent and kitchen-table scenes, suiting viewers drawn to intimate family portraits and social issue dramas.
