## Synopsis

North Shore (2004-2005) is an American prime-time soap opera created for FOX, a single-season run of twenty one-hour episodes. Set around the fictional Grand Waimea Hotel and Resort on Oahu's North Shore, the series follows a young ensemble of staff and guests, with Kristoffer Polaha as Jason Matthews, Brooke Burns as Nicole Booth, Corey Sevier as Gabriel McKay, and Nikki DeLoach as Mary Jeanne Bevans, alongside Jason Momoa as Frankie Seau and James Remar as Vincent Colville. The engine of the show is the tangle of romance, career rivalry, and loyalty that plays out behind the scenes of a luxury resort, where hotel business pressures collide with personal longings from episode to episode. Each hour moves through interlocking storylines of flirtation, jealousy, and friendship across lines of background, giving the series a sun-washed, glossy texture. Its tone is breezy and melodramatic, with soapy reversals and a warm, escapist surface. Fans of Melrose Place and The O.C. will find resonance in its young adult romance and workplace drama, and viewers who enjoy beach-set ensemble television will recognize its familiar pleasures.
