## Synopsis

The New Gate (2024) is a Japanese animated isekai series produced by Yokohama Animation Laboratory and CLOUDHEARTS, broadcast on TOKYO MX and BS11 as a single twelve-episode season of roughly 24-minute episodes. When an online game becomes real and traps its players inside its virtual space, the strongest player, the swordsman Shin (voiced by Kensho Ono), sets out to defeat the game's final boss, Origin, and free everyone. Just after that victory he is hurled five hundred years forward into the in-game world, where he must navigate an unfamiliar future with unrivaled strength as his main asset. Alongside him are principal voice cast members Asami Seto as Schnee Raizer, Kaede Hondo as Tiera Lucent and Kaori Ishihara as Lasia Ruzel, whose characters help anchor the adventure. The story is built from fantasy battles, sword combat and a legendary quest, with each episode delivering escalating confrontations. Its tone is energetic and action-driven, with a power fantasy sensibility and moments of wonder at a world transformed by time. Fans of Sword Art Online, Log Horizon and Overlord will find much of the same virtual world appeal and overpowered protagonist pleasure here.
