## Synopsis

The Manipulated (2025) is a South Korean crime thriller miniseries created by Oh Sang-ho for Disney+, a single season of twelve fifty-minute episodes. Ji Chang-wook plays Park Tae-jung, a man whose life collapses when fabricated evidence lands him in prison for a heinous crime. Once inside, he learns the frame was engineered by someone on the outside, and his rage hardens into a relentless quest for revenge. Doh Kyung-soo, Lee Kwang-soo and Jo Yoon-soo fill out the principal cast as the people caught in his path. Each episode is built from concrete moves: prison maneuvering, covert pursuit of the orchestrator, and escalating confrontations that keep the central mystery tightly coiled. The tone is slick and high-gloss, with fast pacing, polished direction and brutal action that keeps tension high from the first scene. Set in contemporary South Korea, it is a self-contained story with a clear arc rather than an open-ended serial. Fans of Oldboy and Vincenzo will find resonance in its revenge-driven plotting and stylish violence.
