## Synopsis

Love for Love's Sake (2024) is a South Korean science fiction romance drama miniseries created by Hwacha and Aquram for wavve and TVING. Across eight episodes of roughly forty minutes each, Tae Myung Ha (Lee Tae-vin) is pulled into a computer game his friend is building and becomes a high school student a decade younger than himself. His assigned mission is to make the track and field athlete Cha Yeo Woon (Cha Joo-wan) happy, and his character will be deleted if he fails within the allotted time. Oh Min-soo, Cha Woong-ki and Ko Gun-han fill out the principal cast as the adults and classmates whose lives shape the boys' schoolyard world. Each episode pushes the protagonist to hide his true identity while chasing a connection that feels both fated and fragile, so the pressure of the deadline keeps every scene tense. The show mixes campus romance with a sci-fi premise, and its tone is wistful, earnest and melancholic, with moments of bullying and social prejudice weighing against the sweetness. Its stylish cinematography and strong acting give the story a polished, intimate feel. Fans of Heartstopper and Black Mirror will find resonance in its blend of youthful longing and speculative unease.
