## Synopsis

Nina the Starry Bride (2024) is a Japanese animated fantasy romance series created for TOKYO MX and adapted from a manga published by Kodansha, a josei anime aimed at adult readers. Nina, an orphan raised in the castle town of Fortna, is startled when Prince Azure notices her deep blue eyes match those of the late Princess Alisha and orders her to take the dead princess's place. Voiced by Minami Tanaka as Nina and Yuuichirou Umehara as Azure, the twelve-episode single season follows her uneasy path toward a marriage to the Prince of Galgada, where she must hide the deception while learning the customs of a court that never expected her. Each episode is a patient mix of courtly intrigue, quiet daily life and tender emotional beats, with the story built around Nina's wish to matter to someone. Supporting voices from Koki Uchiyama as Sett and Nao Toyama as Muhulum add texture to the royal circle. The tone is gentle, sincere and wistful, with a warm fantasy palette and a romance that unfolds slowly. Fans of Ouran High School Host Club and Kiss Him, Not Me will find a similar pleasure in a lowborn heroine's bright resilience and a romance that grows out of duty.
