## Synopsis

No Good Deed (2024) is a American dark comedy drama miniseries created by Liz Feldman for Netflix. Ray Romano plays Paul Morgan and Lisa Kudrow plays Lydia Morgan, a married couple whose picture-perfect Los Angeles home goes on the market and forces them to hide painful family secrets from prying eyes and cutthroat buyers. Linda Cardellini, Abbi Jacobson, Luke Wilson and Teyonah Parris round out the principal cast as neighbors, rivals and prospective buyers whose interest in the house tangles with the family's private lies. The engine of the eight-episode season is simple: every showing, open house and negotiation threatens to expose what the Morgans have buried, and each episode tightens the pressure as the sale moves forward. The story is contained in one season and reads as a single continuing arc rather than a case of the week. Set in present day affluent Los Angeles, it is a glossy suburban satire, with a witty, sardonic register and an undercurrent of melancholy about marriage, money and inherited dysfunction. Fans of Desperate Housewives, Dead to Me and Arrested Development will find resonance in its mix of sharp comedy and domestic unease.
